Woe is me! That is the cry of many students here at JHS. And can you blame us? Just look at the mounds of homework the teachers pile on us night after night. Then those very teachers have the nerve to harp at us when we turn the work in late! Do they not understand that we have better things to be doing such has video games, or driving around aimlessly with friends? We are only young once for crying out loud!
Oh, but it does not end there! Our troubles start the moment we walk in the door at school. Granted we are late, but what are few minutes here or there? If any of the administrators understood that we are growing boys and girls, who require extra sleep, they certainly could not blame us for a tardy arrival.
And do not even get me started about the daily overdose of drama! Just saying, if someone says something rude to or about me, then I have the right to fire back verbally, and if push comes to shove, literally, then all I can say is, it is certainly not my fault! You have been warned!
Does not anyone notice how we are the victims here? Teachers, rules, fellow peers; are all out to get us! So what do we do to change our luck?
Well, I suppose we could go find a clover field and search it ceaselessly until the hard-work pays off and the rare four leaf clover that is going to change everything is found. Or we could get off the high-horse we have been riding on and realize we have the capability to change circumstances! Luck is what we make it; karma is what comes from that decision.
Start with the attitude! Select a more appropriate behavior combo of your choosing, preferably including characteristics such as patience, respect, empathy, and basically anything short of acting like a spoiled purse puppy.
Moving on into the responsibility section this is where things get a tad bit unnerving, but it must be said: we are responsible for our own actions! Please pick your jaw up off the floor as we move onto point three:
Making decisions! That which can also be called “choices” ironically goes hand in hand with another devastating C-word: consequences. If one makes positive choices, he or she will not have to fret much over the possibility of tough consequences, it is as simple as that.
Now young pupils, see how your luck has already improved. You have unearthed the secrets to good fortune provided by this article, for one. So rather than starting a rumor that will only result in ghastly drama, feel free to spread around these tips to fellow peers in the hopes that they too, will become as lucky as you!
