JHS is participating for the second year in the Pennies for Patients fundraiser.

Pennies for Patients benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a nonprofit that helps fund research for blood cancer cures and treatments. They also provide education on different types of blood cancers and patient services.

All twelve freshman advisories at Jacksonville High School are participating in the fundraiser. The advisory that raises the most money will win a pizza party. The school-wide goal is $600.

The boxes for donation can be found opposite the snack line during lunch hours. The campaign will continue until April 26.

If you want to have your name displayed on a donor sign behind the donation table, you can pay a dollar. Otherwise, your pennies (and all other coins) are welcome!
