Nico Guerrero: Meeting new people

Megan Evans, Staff Writer

Interviewing Nicolas or “Nico” Guerrero was a joyful experience and I learned a lot! Nico is here at Jacksonville High School all the way from Mexico. When interviewing Nico, it was a little hard to communicate because of the differences in languages, but he was so willing to try and had a huge smile on his face the whole time! He traveled to the U.S. with the Rotary and is from Ciudad del Carmen. Nico says he likes the people at JHS very much; the people have actually been his favorite part so far. Traveling is a very new experience for him, so coming to a different country is very strange and scary. When asked what he is most looking forward to for the rest of his stay, he answered with no hesitation, “Meeting more people.” Also, Nico stated that he has two brothers at home and three brothers and one sister here in the U.S. The culture and food are very different to him in America than in Mexico. Welcome to JHS, Nico! May your journey as a Crimson be all that you’ve hoped for!
