Kenneth Dufelmeier, also known as “Duff,” is definitely known around the school as nothing less than a character. He is goofy, funny, and always entertaining to be around. Most students have at least one hilarious story about Duff that most likely includes a very specific quote that may or may not lack a punchline.
Very passionate about his FFA (Future Farmers of America) competitions, he said, “We did not come here to get second. If we wanted to get second, we would not have come, and we could have just gotten last.” Trying not to simply take the quote from Talladega Nights, he meant, “If you’re not first, you’re last.” He then clarified and said, “Coming in second is being the first loser.”
Here are some quick and fun facts about Duff. His favorite month is September because he “loves fall weather,” but he also said, “April is always a good month.” When asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said “Superman, no, wait, Barney!” If Duff could do one thing and become rich by doing it, he would marry a millionaire, though he did state, “Money is not the path to happiness? But wait, does Bill Gates have a daughter?” In his free time, he sleeps to the point of hibernation. He volunteered his own question while interviewed; he wanted to answer “Who was your favorite teacher in high school?” and he answered, “Ms. Andrew” who apparently is our one and only Mrs. Symons!
If you do not know Duff, you might want to fix that because if you’re like most people and enjoy laughing, you sure will do that if you spend more than thirty seconds in his presence.
