The record-breaking superhero

Carlie Day, Staff Writer

Full of laughs and action, Deadpool is worth your time and money. Wade Wilson after being diagnosed with terminal cancer decided to take part in an experiment that could change his life forever. However, he wasn’t just made into a superhero but instead he was made into a super slave. After being tortured by his arch nemesis Ajax in order to make sure the experiment was effective, Wade was finally able to gain his superpowers, and those powers are immortality and quick healing powers. Through the experiment he developed the alter ego Deadpool. Receiving 8.6 out of 10 in the eyes of IMDb users, Deadpool is the funniest extension onto the X-Men franchise. The comical movie also broke box office records and has been titled as the highest earning R- rated movie of all time. Making an estimated $333.4 million, Deadpool is the highest earning superhero movie beating others such as Batman, Ironman, Captain America, etc. Ryan Reynolds captures viewers’ attention every step of the way with his smart mouth, sense of humor and jokes at himself as well as others as he searches for Ajax. Personally earning a 10 out of 10 from me and being one of my top favorites so far this year, Deadpool has become one of my most liked superheroes. So go out and enjoy Deadpool with his smart mouth and red tights; find out if in the end he is considered a true superhero by himself and the others around him.
